I knew that I might be taking a chance posting my cell phone number on the blog. I’m no computer genius but I think there are ways for nutcases and random computers to glob onto your number and do stuff.
Well, Monday night was my lucky night. I was exhausted at 8 pm but by the time I got Brad settled in to bed and did the rest of the nightly tasks I was totally exhausted. I was not yet in bed at 10 pm when it began. The texts. The obscene photo. More follow-up texts and on and on and on. UGH! Seriously?
Now I have to deal with Verizon on this one. Phone call to Verizon, listening to all my options for which number to push and finally a human voice named George. Yes, George could block the number. Thanks. Hang up. Texts keep coming. Repeat the above routine but now talking to John. Sorry, we can’t block those, they are coming in as iMessages. John tells me how to turn off iMessages on my phone. The texts stop but now Eric sends me a “test” text and my phone doesn’t receive it. Discover that my iPad is still receiving iMessages and that I need to turn off iMessages on it in order to receive any texts at all on my phone.
Eric removes my phone number from the blog post.
10:45 problem solved.
Off to bed.
